I’m just like you—a busy modern woman juggling a million roles. I’m a wife, mother, stepmom, daughter, sister, friend, co-parent, and professional. Trust me, I understand how tough it can be to live your best life while wearing all those hats!
For years, I struggled to keep up with today’s hustle culture and navigate the inequalities we face as women. I was frustrated, trying to balance everything and feeling like I was falling short. Then one day, I had an epiphany. Why should I stick to the script society handed me? I decided to write my own story.
So, after 20 years of climbing the corporate ladder, I took a leap of faith. I stepped away from the career I had spent almost two decades building. It was a scary decision, but I knew I needed to focus on myself and my family. More importantly, I wanted to follow my passion for empowering other women to create their best lives.
In 2018, I founded The Globe Trekker Family as a community for women like us. It’s a space to share and explore the everyday struggles and stereotypes we encounter—with our partners, our children, our employers, and even ourselves. Think of it as a safe haven where we can openly discuss our challenges and support each other in finding solutions.
Let’s face it, life throws a lot at us. Some issues are monumental, while others are like those annoying pebbles in our shoes. Here, we tackle the big stuff head-on and find clever ways to deal with the smaller stuff. We’re here to break down all the “shoulds” and “should nots” that society has ingrained in us. Together, we can explore the possibilities of a different, beautiful life for ourselves.
Change can be daunting. It’s like standing at the edge of a cliff, feeling the fear of the unknown below. But you know what’s scarier? Looking back and realizing you never took that leap, filled with regret for the things you didn’t do.
